The Yarra Valley is Victoria's gourmet wonderland and a day of delights awaits us as we make the short journey from Melbourne into this most charming of districts.
Our tour visits some of the iconic wineries of the Yarra Valley, as well as some of the area’s lesser known gems.
We start with a farm gate visit at Wild About Fruit, a local orchard for a palate-cleansing fruit experience. Here we’ll sample a range of juices and learn about the leading-edge technology that creates each glass of goodness. We will also be sampling an assortment of local apples grown on the property
From there we will be visiting one of the valley’s true icons. De Bortoli Wines give us an opportunity to not only taste some great wines, but also to appreciate some of the valley’s heritage, being established in 1928
The amazing produce at the Coldstream Dairy will truly melt in your mouth. Here we’ll sample not only their range of cheeses, but also a host of other produce including chutneys, relishes, jams & olive oils.
Our lunch is at the fabulous Rochford Wines where our guests will enjoy three courses in one with a special “made to order” tasting experience. Three wines will also be paired with the guests’ selection for lunch. We have worked with Rochford’s remarkable team to create a unique dining experience for our guests.
The true epicurean heart of the Yarra Valley region is the town of Healesville. After lunch we’ll take some time to explore its finest gourmet gems including the White Rabbit Brewery, Yarra Valley Pasta and the delightful Kitchen Butcher. Those with a sweet tooth will truly salivate over the handmade goodies at Glass Elevator Candy mongers!
Our final destination for the day will be Oakridge Winery. Bordered by the mountains of the Great Dividing Range and stretching across 10 hectares of vines along Maroondah Highway, the family-owned estate is dedicated to producing outstanding and distinctive wines while providing visitors with a truly memorable wine and food experience.
Your guests will commence the journey home knowing that they have enjoyed the very best that the Yarra Valley has to offer.
