The Auckland Adventure Jet provides a lively and exciting experience from the moment you arrive at Pier 3a next to the historic ferry terminal, right in the middle between Princes Wharf and Queens Wharf. You will get along with our personable staff from the moment they greet you and sign you in and lock up your belongings safely. They’ll give you some splash ponchos and sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sea water. They’ll then lead you down to get some life jackets put on and for some priceless photo taking! Then you’ll be seated in the boat by our skipper before we give you a quick, easy to understand, and fun safety briefing. Once everyone is ready to go we take one more photo before you head out to sea! Depending on a couple of factors you will either go left or right once you reach the end of the “slow zone”. Left will take you under the iconic harbour bridge, past the Chelsea Sugar Factory and around a few Auckland bays in that direction, coming back in time to see a bungy jumper take the plunge! If you go right, be ready for a beautiful scenic experience past the ports of Auckland, towards Rangitoto and around to the Takapuna area to see the beaches. Either way has something unique and exciting to offer and our grandstand seating means no matter where you sit in the boat you will get a great view!

During the trip you’ll reach speeds in excess of 50 knots and enjoy spins and tricks which will be sure to delight and maybe even wet you a little bit! After 35-40 minutes of this fun, when you return to pier 3a we’ll de-poncho you and you can have a look at your photos and our other great merchandise. This whole experience will only take an hour out of your day so it will easily fit into your day!

  • Be greeted by our friendly and fun staff at Pier 3a
  • Sign in and get kitted up with ponchos, sunglasses and life jackets for the duration of the trip
  • Have some priceless photos taken
  • Enjoy our interactive safety briefing
  • Head out to see Auckland City from a different perspective out on the Waitemata Harbour 
  • Reach speeds in excess of 50 knots (100kmph/60milesph)
  • Enjoy adrenalin pumping spins and tricks
  • Speed right underneath the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge
  • See the Chelsea Sugar Factory 
  • Spin around surrounding Auckland bays before heading back towards the bridge in time to see a bungy jump-er
  • Whole experience is finished up within one hour

There's a couple of ways to explain how to find us! 

  • Pier 3a next to the ferry terminal 
  • Inbetween Princes Wharf and Queens Wharf
  • Right down the bottom of Albert Street
  • Opposite the corner of Lower Albert Street and Quay Street

The boat departs every hour on the hour, 9am-5pm but we have a minimum of 5 pax per trip so sometimes we need to group times e.g. if we have a trip going at 3pm but someone would like 2pm we would try see if they would be happy to go on the 3pm. Helps the environment too!

Passengers start and finish at this point. 

Photo packs are available to purchase for $25 each - this will give you two awesome photos in hard copy and some vouchers for other activities and food from Auckland City. The photos will be available to download as many times as you like from our website for 3 months from purchase.
